General Pediatrician
Dr. Uma Taneja has practiced general pediatrics in Bergen County since 2003. She has been focused in adolescent medicine since she started practice, and since the COVID-19 epidemic, she has developed a special interest in mental health, receiving special certification training in 2023. She is passionate about taking a holistic approach to her patient’s care. She has enjoyed mentoring medical students and residents to extend her approach to the next generation of physicians. She completed her residency training in pediatrics at Winthrop University Hospital and moved to Bergen County to start her family. She is proud to have raised two children, both graduates of Duke University, who have moved on to successful careers. While still committed to her kids, she now spends her free time attending sporting events, playing cards, and traveling with her husband, who is also a practicing physician.
